I ran my first 10Ks years ago. Then, I decided to try a half-marathon (Geneva, Switzerland, in 2014), and since it went well, I’ve run dozens of half-marathons since then.
In 2015, I ran my first marathon in San Francisco (4h18′). It was a tough race but… I did it! I ran my second marathon in December 2017, the California International Marathon in Sacramento, CA
What I love about running is that it’s a great way to stay in good shape and healthy. I sleep great and barely feel tired after running frequently. That’s why I keep running 3 times per week no matter what. I used to run at least 5 races yearly, usually a mix of 10Ks, half-marathons, and marathons, but I slowed down in my early 40s to focus on other things.
In addition, I was a soccer referee for 19 years before I retired at the end of 2016. This is how I got into the running world to improve my speed and endurance.
